WHO IS MUSIC NEWS MONTHLY?
Music News Monthly is a digital a physical format music magazine and blog. Our aim is to bring new, established and previously undiscovered musicians, bands and singers to the eyes and ears of new music fans.
Priding ourselves on showcasing great music regardless of the genre to great people. Keeping our mind and ears open to new ideas and sounds is just as important to us as savouring the acts and artists that we already know and love.
Music News Monthly was founded in 2014 by David Weddle, originally called Good Art Guide and promoting art on social media, as well as an online gallery which featured incredible artists from across the globe. David's interest in and love of music soon started to influence the direction of the website.
Initially branching out to include music reviews under the Good Art Guide name it soon became apparent that the music side of Good Art Guide is where the future lay.
In 2021, the decision was taken to retire the Good Art Guide name and focus just on music. Dedicating the website to promoting new and established music including music reviews, interviews and live music reviews. Music News Monthly has been lucky enough to have covered shows by the likes of Anthrax, Black Eyed Peas, The Stranglers, Saxon, W.A.S.P. as well as rising stars like Holly Humberstone, Anchor Lane, Craig Gould and so many more. From rock and pop to metal and folk, we genuinely love music.
Our vision to support artists is not just focussed on musicians, we have also been able to work with upcoming music photographers who have gone on to photograph many amazing acts, including Swedish House Mafia, Gerry Cinnamon, The Kooks, Dylan John Thomas, Maisie Peters to name just a few.
With a passion for creativity, Music News Monthly continues to go from strength to strength and the ability for us to help artists find a new audience is greater than ever.
