Hot on the heels of 2025’s debut album ‘The Things You Don’t Know Yet’, Adult Leisure return with new single ‘The Light You Attract’, out today, March 13th 2026, a sobering insight into dangerous relationships.

Their debut full-length ‘The Things You Don’t Know Yet’, released in October 2025, has already amassed over 900,000 streams, and saw multiple collaborations with longtime The 1975 / Sam Fender collaborator John Waugh. The album gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 6’s Indie Forever show, The Line Of Best Fit, Pop Journal, Fresh on the Net and multiple Spotify editorial playlists, and single ‘Borderline’ was used to open an E4 Made In Chelsea episode, their first national TV sync placement.

Their new single ‘The Light You Attract’ was recorded and mixed with long-time producer Ollie Searle at Humm Studios and mastered by the acclaimed John Webber (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Coach Party). The track captures the push-and-pull of destructive attraction, and the unsettling comfort found in people we know we shouldn’t trust. The song explores strained dynamics: the power plays, and the journey from love to disgust. Sonically, the band balances tension and restraint, allowing the weight of the subject matter to breathe, the lyrics acting as both shield and weapon - a coping mechanism sharpened into commentary.
Discussing the single, guitarist David Woolford explains: “‘The Light You Attract’ is about recognising the patterns you keep walking into. It’s about that moment when you realise you’re not just a victim of someone else’s chaos; you’re complicit in returning to it. There’s bitterness in that realisation, but there’s clarity too.”

Known for their ability to pair unflinching honesty with atmospheric intensity, Adult Leisure continue to carve out a space that is both cathartic and confrontational. ‘The Light You Attract’ stands as one of their most incisive releases to date - a track that doesn’t just depict toxic relationships, but challenges the listener to examine their own attitudes and behaviours.

Alongside the news of the single, Adult Leisure are incredibly excited to announce that they’ve headed to the United States for the first time to showcase at both New York City’s New Colossus Festival and as an official artist at this year’s SXSW.
