ALL I LIVE FOR
Into The Ether

Picture
ALL I LIVE FOR’s new album, Into The Ether, dropped at the end of October and it shows a clear shift in how the project now works. Mike Pearson handled almost everything himself this time. From writing the songs and recording them at his home studio he took care of every stage of production including mixing and mastering. Dave Williams contributed to most of the drum parts, giving regular feedback during the process, which helped shape the final versions.

The album focuses on subjects Pearson has been talking about for a while. A number of tracks address behaviour from people in positions of influence, others look at the damage being done to the environment, and some deal with the idea of people trying to make better choices.

The progression in sound  and writing since the debut album is plain to hear in tracks like 'Give Me A Reason' and 'Embers Of The Fallen'. With tighter arrangements and more settled vocals, Pearson's approach to harmonies is a very noticeable aspect of the album. Some tracks have several layers of vocals, recorded in multiple takes, which create a fuller sound without overpowering the core of each song.

Everything was made in Pearson’s home studio, which gave him the time and freedom to adjust parts as he went. There was no fixed timeline beyond wanting the album ready for release before the end of October, and that flexibility plays into why the record feels more considered.

The band have been out playing shows again, including recent dates in Burnley and Lincoln, with more booked for early next year. Pearson has also confirmed he already has enough material in progress for future releases in 2026, so this album is likely the start of a busy period.

Into The Ether is out now and available across all major platforms.
