Today we are shining a light on three phenomenal new discoveries that completely throw out clinical, over-polished production in favor of pure, lived-in human emotion: Dee Holt, Scott C. Park, and EĐĐIE.
Montreal indie-pop wunderkind Dee Holt is back with a brand new single, 'figure it out.' The song marks the Montrealer’s return to music after a year-long creative journey spent in Europe, where she had been honing her craft through a series of transformative experiences.
Written during a particularly introspective period for Holt, “figure it out” is a song about the reality that nobody can tell you which way to go, you have to figure it out for yourself. The patient, textured soundscapes in “figure it out” build to a thrilling climax, marking a new chapter in the artist previously “one to watch” (TeenVogue) artist’s career, one in which she is collaborating and growing in new and exciting ways.

“Revival” is a beautiful and bittersweet song about having faith and going through a period of personal change as an independent songwriter. The new single from singer songwriter Scott C. Park is the title track from his upcoming album, which is released on August 14th. The song is a wistful recollection of the singer’s childhood growing up in church on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland.
The song features chiming guitars and delicate, far-off vocals at the start, with the arrangement steadily building throughout until it reaches a raw, distorted climax featuring Park on acoustic drums. Park sees “revival” not in a religious sense, but as a way to return to his childhood love of pure rock ‘n’ roll. EDDIE is a Pennsylvania singer-songwriter and bassist who has recently begun to bring his talents to a solo project. As the former frontman of Nothing But A Nightmare, EDDIE brought the group’s album Kleptomania to over 100,000 streams. His work with Nothing But A Nightmare was a fusion of alternative and pop, but his solo work is a fusion of pop and R&B with soaring vocals and infectious groove-based basslines.
