With our regular spotlight articles, we love to highlight a massive variety of independent acts from across the musical spectrum. Today we are diving into three incredible projects that swap rigid, over-polished production for pure, raw human energy: Adam Jensen, The Infinity Chamber, and Jason Mazzotta.
Boston native Adam Jensen has unveiled his alternative rock single “Cellophane,” the lead single to Jensen’s self-produced debut full-length album Hymns for the Damned. A full-fledged 90’s vibe rock song “Cellophane” is a Hymns for the Damned track that explores the exhausting realization of being suffocated by your own history.
Adam Jensen, who in the past has detailed his gripping and redemptive life of bar fights with bookies and self-teaching himself to play music by recording along to his favourite songs by Kurt Cobain, has put his heart and soul into the songwriting of “Cellophane” which was written and recorded in Jensen’s garage late at night with the use of maximum-fuzz pedals and thunderous drum tones.

After three decades of Dylan Paul Ware’s The Infinity Chamber wandering around the world, the New-Zealander hobo now back in his homeland of Aotearoa has just released an EP of new material, ‘Toxins’ (2026). This psychedelic folk/grungy rock track is a strange intersection of transcendent and personal crisis, a rich and often dark internal trip for the listener, rather than a listing of the dangers of any of the night-blooming plants whose toxicology inspired the song.
Powerful bass lines, Ware’s personal and direct lyrics, elevated by spectral lead lines and rich fully-arranged sections of sound that culminate in a haunting post-industrial dub remix. A unique and brilliant piece of what I would call ‘existential forest rock’, written for those who feel most alive when things are falling apart.

Jason Mazzotta (also known as the indie-mod buccaneer of Ridgewood, New York) is a Wizard in the Studio and a regular down-to-earth dude. A track from his latest pop album ‘Jason To Jason’ (released via Rub Wrongways Records) is a love song, a sweet little number with a funky groove and loads of 60s soul inspired vocal harmonies.
Recorded at InnerSpace SoundLabs, 'You Make Me So Happy' has a warm, hazy depth to it, thanks to the variety of analogue synthesizers. It’s a lighthearted pop song so infectious that you can’t help but get your toes tapping to this funky little number. And if you like it, which I am confident you will, check out the album which features a Gizmotron (a device that stretches the strings on an instrument). Now that is well worth discovering for yourself.
