It is an exciting time for new music currently. With our regular spotlight articles, we love to highlight a massive variety of independent acts from across the musical spectrum. Today we are diving into three incredible projects that swap rigid, over-polished production for pure, raw human energy: Butcher Babies, Corvus Lore, and Brooke Henzell.
Metal mainstays Butcher Babies thankfully show absolutely no signs of slowing down as they deliver a blistering shot of adrenaline with their seductive new track, 'Blame It On The Wind.' You may already recognise Butcher Babies as they have been doing their thing for quite a while now, having formed in 2009, this powerhouse unit is legendary for an aggressive style that blends thrash, groove, and punk attitude.
The latest track was inspired by a late night encounter in LA, it masterfully shifts from a sultry, slow burn into a high-energy tempo reminiscent of In This Moment meets Jinjer. Thanks to Heidi Shepherd’s commanding vocals leading the way, you can be sure that you are in for quite a ride. It is a ferocious addition to a catalogue that already boasts standout records like Goliath and Lilith.
