It is an exciting time for new music currently. With our regular spotlight articles, we love to highlight a massive variety of independent acts from across the musical spectrum. Here we are diving into three incredible projects that swap rigid, over-polished production for pure, raw human energy: Electric High, Lime, and Molshot.
Norway’s own high-voltage rock unit Electric High leans hard into their inner Black Sabbath on the blistering new single, "Higher Heights." Taken from their highly acclaimed sophomore album Free to Go, which recently snagged a stellar 8/10 review from Classic Rock Magazine UK, the track opens with an unmistakably Tony Iommi-influenced, blues-infused guitar riff. Fronted by their signature dual-vocal attack, the song stomps forward with a glorious shuffle gallop.
Lyrically, it trades standard rock celebrations for a darker, confrontational exploration of mental distress. Produced alongside Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio in Bergen, the track blends modern grit with classic bite, delivering an absolutely massive chorus that demands to be played incredibly loud.

After a massive 30 year hiatus, cult mid 90s UK band Lime officially reformed in 2024, giving indie music fans the opportunity to hear Matt Crossey, Jason Knight, Paul ‘Roz’ Rose, and Martin Wright do their thing once more.
Proving that their chemistry is still there, the band have recently released their brand new single, 'The Last Thing That I do'. It is a deep cut taken from their highly anticipated studio album, 'Chasing Ghosts' which was released on 21st of May.
The record is a very British affair having been entirely recorded in the UK. It sounds fresh with a nostalgic edge. Nice work! Listen here
