Release Debut EP Memory Tattoos
Helsinki’s very own Bad Valentines have finally dropped their debut EP, Memory Tattoos and it is an absolute belter. With four tracks that feel both personal and punchy, the band’s first release is an honest snapshot of where they are right now and where they’re heading.
Two of the songs, Mariia and Last Days in the Sun, have already made the rounds and picked up a decent following. But it’s the new material that really pulls you in. There’s something about the way the band captures mood and melody that hits just right. It’s not flashy or overproduced, just solid, no-frills songwriting with feeling behind it.
The band worked with producers Petri Majuri and Sammy Aaltonen, names that come with serious rock credentials. Even with that pedigree, the recording process was relaxed and organic. “They understood what we were about,” the band said. “It all came together naturally.”

Memory Tattoos doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. What it does do is deliver four strong tracks that wear their heart on their sleeve. You get catchy guitar lines, lyrics that stay with you, and a sense that these songs were written to be played live, loud, and maybe a little messy.
It’s a confident first step, not trying too hard, not dressing things up. Just a band doing their thing and doing it well.
