Blacklight Beat Patrol
Awe Walk

Picture
Rhode Island’s own Blacklight Beat Patrol returns with Awe Walk, a restless, shape-shifting track that steers electronic music into stranger waters. Clocking in under four minutes, it’s the kind of piece that resists labels and refuses to settle. There’s no easy chorus, no polished hook, just movement, fractured, fluid, and full of tension.

The track opens with scattered rhythms that glitch and stutter, pulling the listener into a space that’s both immersive and unpredictable. Ambient washes swirl in, then scatter. Tones clash before clicking into accidental harmony. It’s not polished, but it’s deliberate, music built from instincts and detours.
At the helm is producer Scott R. Corneau, who continues to run the Blacklight Beat Patrol project from his Rhode Island studio. Known for pushing beyond familiar structures, Corneau’s work thrives on juxtaposition, colliding textures that shouldn’t blend, but somehow do. Awe Walk tightens the chaos found on last year’s Meet the Blacklight Beat Patrol, offering something leaner and more surgical in its disorientation.

There’s beauty in the mess here, not the kind you frame, but the kind you stumble into and can’t stop thinking about. If this is any hint of what the next full-length will offer, Blacklight Beat Patrol isn’t just experimenting. It’s evolving.
