Singer songwriter Wendy DuMond AKA  Bog Witch has returned with the release of a brand new track, “Dream Birds.” With the ukulele and soft vocals, the track keeps a steady tempo steering away from big shifts in dynamics. The vast majority of what you hear is the vocal and basic musical arrangement without the addition of lots of layers added on top which gives it real sense of authenticity.

That authentic feel is deeply rooted in to 'Dream Birds' with the inclusion of small noises and sounds that occurred in the room during recording. Choosing not to remove them gives the song a whole new depth which is cool.

In terms of lyrics, 'Dream Birds' references birds, locusts and at times includes some spiritual language, you get a real sense that you are listening to something that has a natural alignment at its core, opening up the senses to something new and very intriguing.

Stylistically the track is definitely one that spans numerous genres from indie to dream folk this lo-fi track hits all the right spots. With the atmospheric sound that, thanks to the stripped back recording style, Bog Witch has given you something very emotive and moving. There is a very human connection with the music that you can feel as the Wendy's vocals paint a vivid picture of a moving encounter that is almost dream like in the way the story is told which matches the music perfectly.
