London-based artist Chaidura continues to carve their own niche in the run-up to the release of the upcoming LIMINAL EP with Plastic Beauty, a single that deals directly with appearance, pressure, and the expectations that come with both.
The premise of the track is simple enough, looking at the unrealistic standards that people hold themselves to when it comes to beauty and the external pressures that compound that issue. The idea may be straightforward, but the track itself is anything but. Drawing upon a wide range of musical styles from rock and electronica to full-on, in-your-face Nu Metal vocals that seem to come out of nowhere.
There are occasional stripped back sections where you are able to gain your composure for a brief moment before getting hurled face first into super heavy guitar work that gets the pace going again.
