Come Together Festival
Day One Review

Day one of the inaugural Come Together Festival on Newcastle’s historic Town Moor set the bar high. Thousands of music lovers gathered for a packed day of live performances, food, and plenty of atmosphere, all building towards the much-anticipated headline slot from Robbie Williams.
But before the big finale, the festival delivered a strong lineup across three stages. Harriet Rose and Jamie Lee Harrison had the tough task of opening the main stage, yet both rose to the challenge, giving early arrivals plenty to shout about. Meanwhile, stages two and three buzzed with local talent. Charlie Floyd impressed with smooth vocals, Vona Vella pulled in a sizeable crowd, and Nell Mescal, first up on the main stage, gave a striking performance that made her one to watch.

The Lottery Winners kept spirits high with their trademark humour and high-energy set. Frontman Thom had the crowd in stitches, especially when he spotted a Robbie lookalike in the audience and dragged him up to sing “Angels”, introducing him as “Temu Robbie.” A moment nobody there will forget.
North East favourite Andrew Cushin showed why he’s tipped for big things. His commanding stage presence and powerful vocals made a huge impact, with a sound that filled the Town Moor. Perrie brought a pop spectacle, complete with dancers in cowgirl hats, while Kaiser Chiefs fired up the crowd with hits like “Ruby” and “I Predict A Riot,” led by an unstoppable Ricky Wilson.
Over on stage two, Tom A. Smith drew one of the day’s biggest crowds outside the main arena. His set had all the makings of a headliner performance, and with a new deal signed to Fiction Records, it feels inevitable that bigger stages are in his future.
As night fell, all eyes turned to Robbie Williams. His headline set was a masterclass in showmanship, closing with a thunderous singalong to “Angels” that carried across Newcastle.
Day one proved that Come Together Festival has planted firm roots on the Town Moor. A brilliant start to what looks set to become a staple in the North East music calendar.
