Craig Gould announces duel-format live EP in collaboration with Beckview Studios & The Noble Thieves
Following the success of his 2023 debut album Songs from the Campfire - a Top 20 entry on the Official UK Folk & Americana Albums Chart - acclaimed singer-songwriter Craig Gould is set to release a new 6-track live EP in partnership with the renowned Beckview Studios in Scarborough.
Titled Live at Beckview Studios, the EP marks a significant milestone in Gould’s artistic evolution. Featuring live renditions of fan favourites from Songs from the Campfire, alongside brand-new material from his forthcoming second studio album Songs of Love and War (due in late 2026), the record demonstrates a powerful and intimate moment in Gould’s musical journey.
Recorded in front of a live studio audience, the performance captures the raw energy, storytelling, and musicianship that fans have come to love. Backed by his trusted band The Noble Thieves, this recording offers a rich, emotionally resonant sound that blends the immediacy of a concert with the clarity of a studio session. Adding to its uniqueness, the EP will be released in both audio and visual formats, offering fans an immersive and rare experience within the UK independent music landscape.
The sessions took place at Beckview Studios, a boutique recording space on the North Yorkshire coast. Known for its warm, collaborative atmosphere and deep commitment to capturing authentic performances, Beckview offered the ideal setting to bring the music to life. With a blend of vintage gear, live room energy, and thoughtful production, the studio has earned a growing reputation as a creative sanctuary for artists looking to reconnect with the heart of their sound.
Craig Gould shared:
“It’s been an incredible journey since Campfire came out in 2023, and The Noble Thieves have been a huge part of that. We put a lot of care into shaping our live sound, so having the chance to capture that energy so authentically was amazing. Kristina and Chris at Beckview are true champions of grassroots music, and working with them was an honour. The studio is outstanding and the analogue setup suited our sound perfectly. We’re so excited to share this EP with the world and give a glimpse of what’s to come as we move toward album two.”
Live at Beckview Studios is more than a live EP - it’s a cinematic, multi-sensory document of a band and studio in their element.
Craig Gould & The Noble Thieves – Live at Beckview Studios will be released in audio format on all digital streaming platforms, alongside the full video formats (available via the Beckview Studios YouTube channel) on Wednesday, 13 August 2025.
