Starting off the year strong, D3PRT's previous release 'You Will Never Know' was a great introduction to their sound. They have doubled down on that and given us a clear idea of where that sound is heading with the release of 'FrGrry', the second of three releases so far this year.

The track opens up with distorted vocals before the introduction of a class drum pattern that keeps everything centred as the grounded, heavy-as-you-like bassline kicks in. Introducing short percussion elements gradually builds to a gloriously atmospheric piece of music that keeps the ear engaged and your feet moving, eager for more.

Hailing from Hertford in England, D3PRT is an independent electronic producer with a focus on dark garage and UK bass. About his music, D3RPT says, "My approach is focused on groove, tension, and space, letting tracks evolve naturally instead of forcing outcomes." And that definitely comes across with 'FrGrry'. It is groove heavy and it is very addictive, a proper earworm.

As a follow up to the debut, this has everything you could hope for and then some. D3PRT has really stuck their neck out on this one to create something that is unashamedly true to its garage roots while still feeling very accessible to newcomers to the genre.
