Dalinda Shares Personal New Single 'The Nile'

Picture
Dalinda returns to the spotlight with her new single, ' The Nile'. This latest release marks a very striking departure stylistically from her previous work, however Dalinda has managed to retain the rich multicultural influences that have defined her career so far. The track was written as a deeply personal look at love and loss, 'The Nile' is best described as a melancholic track with a strong focus on the raw, human emotion instead of concentrating on over production. It features lush live instrumentals from start to finish, a bold choice in the current musical era, avoiding using samples and letting the composition speak for itself. A great piece of work.

At its core, 'The Nile' has managed to transcend the constraints of the spoken language. It was deeply inspired by Dalinda's own mother, whose portrait is proudly displayed on the single's cover. Despite not speaking a word of English, she was moved to tears upon hearing the track for the first time, a tremendous endorsement if one was needed.

Having been born to Bosnian parents and raised in Libya, UK based Dalinda has a rich heritage to draw inspiration on and that is plain to hear in her music. Her breakout album 'Turquoise', produced by the legendary late Hossam Ramzy, was the springboard for her musical career and propelled her on to the global stage. That debut has seen Dalinda securing huge crossover success in the Middle East with Hamid AlShairi having dominated the charts for a whopping 17 weeks. On top of that, she has also collaborated with the likes of Phil Thornton and Simon Williams, not to mention working alongside producer Pete Murray, taking her music to the next level and continuing to forge her own path, creating music that reaches across boundaries and touches the heart and soul.

'The Nile' was released on the 29th of May and is available for you to check out right now.
