David Cloyd
Red Sky Warning

It’s been over a decade since David Cloyd last released a full record, but Red Sky Warning proves he hasn’t missed a beat. If anything, his return feels sharper, more emotionally layered, and totally unafraid to dig deeper.

With three singles already racking up hundreds of thousands of streams, and major features popping up across Apple Music and music press, it’s clear something big is happening. Cloyd, often referred to as a cult figure in indie music circles, is back, and this time the world seems ready to meet him where he’s at.

The new album was co-produced and mixed by Blake Morgan (who’s worked with names like Lenny Kravitz and Lesley Gore), and together they’ve built something that sounds both intimate and expansive. There’s a rawness to it. But also precision. That balance is what makes it hit so hard.

People will probably still compare him to artists like Radiohead or Jeff Buckley, and sure, there are echoes of that DNA. But what really stands out is how much this record sounds like David Cloyd, and no one else. Red Sky Warning isn’t trying to be trendy. It just feels honest. Reflective. Like an artist who’s had time to think, and something real to say.

The album is out now via ECR Music Group and streaming worldwide. It’s worth slowing down for.
