Electron released their new single Lie To Me on 30th October, and it’s one of their most full on tracks so far. With the guitars hitting hard right out of the gate, you know you are in for a real treat. The vocals are on point, the raw vulnerability contrasting against heavy as you like guitar work creating a knockout sound that is powerful but not over the top. Jason has mentioned that the song came from a period when he felt overwhelmed by his own thoughts, and the delivery reflects that without dressing it up.
Lyrically, 'Lie To Me' deals with the subject of trust and more specifically the breakdown of trust and how people say things they don't always mean just to get out of a difficult situation. The language isn't over dramatic it is just a frank account of frustration and doubt.

They marked the release with a show at the Imperial Palace of Big Red in Camden on the same day the track came out. They follow that with headline dates at Brighton’s Water Bear Music Bar on 31 October and Manchester’s Gullivers on 8 November. They’re also supporting Defences at The Dome on 5 December before heading to Cardiff for the Thank You Ozzy Vol 1 event on 7 December. Looking ahead, they’re set to appear at Ride Rock Roll Metal Fest on 25 July next year.
