ELECTRONIC DUO PIVOTS ANNOUNCE UK TOUR with IMMERSIVE CONCERT & NEW SINGLE "ANY MEANS"

Picture
LONDON, UK / PARIS, FR — September 4, 2026 — UK-French electronic duo Pivots have announced a six-date UK tour this September, bringing their live AV set and pioneering immersive concert “Everyday Places” to grassroots venues across the country. The tour accompanies the release of their single “Any Means,” out today on all major streaming platforms.

Kickstarting September 16 at Cardiff’s PLAYBACK Festival, a showcase for creativity and innovation in live performance, the tour sets out to build a new immersive touring circuit, bringing high-end immersive shows typically reserved for major cities directly into independent rooms.

Pivots UK Tour Dates — September 2026
16 Sept — PLAYBACK Festival, Tramshed Cardiff (immersive set)
18 Sept — The Hug and Pint, Glasgow (AV set)
19 Sept — Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh (AV set)
21 Sept — Beyond Vinyl, Newcastle upon Tyne (immersive + AV set)
24 Sept — THIRTEEN, Kendal (immersive + AV set)
25 Sept — Barrow Underground Music Society, Barrow-in-Furness (immersive + AV set)

Pivots Immersive Concert: Everyday Places On their debut UK tour, Pivots are inviting audiences into a 20-minute pre-show experience powered by game engines and virtual reality. “Everyday Places” transforms local venue spaces into immersive digital art installations where concert-goers can encounter the duo’s music inside a strange, virtual environment more akin to a video game or surreal trip than a traditional gig before the duo’s main set.

“The relationship between memory and music is incredibly powerful, especially the first time you hear a song,” says frontman Roman Rappak. “What we’ve evolved is a way for people to form a memory around a track before they hear it live. Art is often about creating a sense of detachment—by stepping away from everyday reality, you can fall in love with a song or a film. Ironically, when you return to the real world afterwards, you see it differently.”

The tour is Pivots’ direct response to the crisis facing UK independent music spaces. While small venues continue to close at alarming rates and streaming payouts remain negligible, Pivots are testing a new blueprint for how emerging artists can leverage immersive technology to draw new audiences, including gamers, cinema-goers, and digital art enthusiasts, into grassroots spaces. It’s an approach aligned with ongoing initiatives in the UK supported by Music Venues Trust, Media Cymru, Innovate UK, Off Axis and the Arts Council, exploring sustainable futures for grassroots culture.
“The response from grassroots venues for Pivots’ immersive concert has been incredible,” says Pivots manager Anne McKinnon. “These spaces are the backbone of music culture, where experimentation happens and future headliners are born. This tour is a first-of-its-kind collaboration, with grassroots venues once again leading the charge for the next wave of live music experiences.”

New Single: “Any Means”
Pivots’ accompanying single, “Any Means,” explores psychological compulsion, consumerism, and the line between theft and creation. Inspired by the life of a close friend living with compulsive shoplifting, the song uses kleptomania as a lens to question manufactured desire in modern society.

Hyper-precise synth arpeggios collide with scratchy acoustic guitars, field recordings, and vintage Linn drum machines wrestling against live bass. Bridging traditional sampling heritage—nodding to borrowed classics by The Kinks and The Smiths as well as future classics from Heartworm and Working Men’s Club—with modern anxieties around AI and cloned identity, “Any Means” asks a timely question: where does inspiration end and appropriation begin?

“Any Means’ is about those quiet compulsions that follow us through supermarkets, social media, relationships, and creativity itself,” Rappak adds. “In a world where desire is manufactured on an industrial scale and every image or sound can be copied, how much of what we do is genuinely our own choice and has ownership itself become an illusion?”
