Elisa V has taken her time before putting her own name on a record, now is the time that Elisa V has chosen to share with the world, what she has been working on for so long. The brand new single Love of Yesterday has, at the time of writing this, 19th of September, just been released. Growing up in Finland Elisa was surrounded by music and later immersed herself into study at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. 

Having been the violinist who could hold the stage anywhere, from festival crowds to more formal music halls, Elisa V has played to all walks of life including in the Vatican and in front of royalty. Achievements that gives you some idea of just how well respected she is in classical circles.

Her debut single, Love of Yesterday doesn't sound like something you would expect from someone with that background. Opting to dive head first into dance music rather than a concerto or chamber piece, Elisa has taken a bold step and it has definitely paid off. Dragging the violin out of its usual restraints and taking it to a whole new level, with a rhythm that is electric, steady and almost minimal at times with the violin line moving over it, shifting tone as it goes.

This isn't gimmicky and the contrasting styles don't clash at all, they work together creating a unique and memorable sound. Elisa has found a way to stretch the instrument past it's normal limits showing that the violin can sit well in the club sounds of today without losing any of its character.
