After years of fronting some of rock’s most iconic acts, Erik Grönwall returns with his new solo album ”Bad Bones”, set for release on May 22nd, 2026.
The album’s title track and first single “Bad Bones”, released earlier this year, has been warmly received by fans and media alike. The song has already been picked up by major rock radio stations including Bandit Rock (Sweden), Planet Rock (UK) - reaching over 1 million weekly listeners - and Star FM (Germany), introducing Erik’s new solo material to rock audiences across Europe.
Now Erik continues the momentum with the second single from the album, “Born to Break,” released on April 3rd.

“‘Born to Break’ is a song I want people to interpret in their own way,” Erik says. “I like when lyrics can hold multiple truths. I know what it means to me, but I’d rather leave space for the listener to find their own meaning in it.”

Known worldwide for his powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence, Erik has made his mark as the frontman of Skid Row, H.E.A.T, and more recently touring across Europe and Japan - and recording a UFO anniversary album - alongside guitar legend Michael Schenker.

With the new album Bad Bones, Erik now turns the focus fully inward, delivering a raw and honest statement that marks a bold new chapter in his career. The album sets the tone for a body of work that is fearless, personal and uncompromising. Built entirely on original material, Bad Bones represents a return to songwriting at its core - honest, powerful and deeply personal.
“I’ve had the honor of fronting some great bands, but now it’s time to tell my own story,” Erik says. “‘Bad Bones’ is about owning who you are and not apologizing for it. I’ve always walked my own path, no matter what people thought. I’ve never followed the norm, and I’m not about to start now - this is how I’m built.”
Alongside his work on stage and in the studio, Erik has built an enormously successful YouTube channel, amassing millions of views and a global audience drawn to his powerful interpretations and authenticity. With Bad Bones, that same raw connection now fuels his own original voice.

Two hometown shows in Stockholm’s Cirkus at the end of May are already sold out, and more festival appearances are set to be announced soon. His headline show at Naturscen Skuleberget also sold out in record time.
Following the success of the title track, the new single “Born to Break” arrives April 3rd, offering another glimpse into the upcoming album.

The album “Bad Bones” will be released worldwide on May 22nd, 2026.
