Cornwall’s rising stars Flo Crowe & The Dilemmas return with their second single Shy Girl, released October 31st through Little Genius Recordings. The release follows their acclaimed debut That Was That and gives another taste of what to expect from the band’s forthcoming self-titled album.

At just nineteen, the band have already started to make a name for themselves far beyond their home county. By combining layered folk tinged harmonies with electronic beats and flashes of gritty guitar, they’ve drawn comparisons with some of the most exciting acts in alternative pop. The group features Flo Crowe on vocals and keys, Cerys Wilcox, Paige Mullin, Grace C.G., and Moses Seaber.

Their sound has caught the attention of national outlets including BBC Introducing, Louder Than War, and Q Radio. They also made a strong impression at Boardmasters 2025, joining a line-up that included Raye, The Prodigy, Central Cee, and Wet Leg.

Shy Girl pushes the band’s ideas further, both musically and thematically. Flo explains that the song challenges the old fashioned expectations of women. The opening lyric “Outta my way” immediately tears down that stereotype, setting the tone for a track full of confidence and spark.

The single is available everywhere from right now, accompanied by an extended version and remix from Nick Mackrory.

With early support from radio and press alike, it feels like Flo Crowe & The Dilemmas are only just beginning their climb and Shy Girl shows they’re ready for it.
