Formoe
Always

Picture
Norwegian artist Formoe has revisited one of his most striking tracks, giving “Always” a new life as part of his debut album The Beginning of the End, set to arrive later this year. What began as a powerful pop single has now been reimagined into something bigger, more cinematic, carrying a depth that feels at once personal and universal.

The original release of “Always” made its way into the hearts of listeners far beyond Scandinavia, picking up support in Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, and the US. This new album version expands on that foundation, stretching the emotional weight of the song into something more atmospheric. Alongside it come two alternative takes, one built only from vocal harmonies, the other stripped back to pure instrumental, each uncovering different layers of the song’s core feeling.

Produced by Alf Emil Eik, whose past collaborations include work with A-ha and Secret Garden, and Roar Farstad, the track finds its centre in the voice of June Baltzersen. Her performance here is both delicate and commanding, capturing the quiet fragility that lingers in the aftermath of love.

With The Beginning of the End, Formoe is mapping out an ambitious first statement, a record that moves between hope, heartbreak, and transformation, never settling in one place for too long. “Always” is a glimpse of what’s to come: heartfelt storytelling carried by immersive sound.
