George Redwood
FIRST CALL

Picture
London-based singer-songwriter, George Redwood is quickly carving out his place in the UK pop landscape. His new single “FIRST CALL,” the lead track from THE TRUTH OF IT ALL (Part Two), is bold, vulnerable, and built to echo in your head long after the final chorus fades. Fresh off a string of summer festival appearances, Tramlines, Southampton Pride, and Colchester Pride among them, Redwood is stepping into a new chapter. And if “FIRST CALL” is any sign of what’s ahead, it’s going to be a big one.

The track wastes no time getting to the point. Pulsing synths rise into a thunderous chorus, as Redwood sings about wanting to be the person someone reaches for in their best and worst moments. It’s a song about connection, about longing to be needed, and it’s delivered with an intensity that feels personal.

“I wrote it about that moment when you’re no longer content being in the background,” Redwood says. “You want to be their first call. Whether they’re falling apart or just walking home alone at night, you want it to be you.” There’s a raw energy in the way he tells it. The lyrics ache without ever losing hope, and the production, crafted to fill both headphones and open air.
Following the success of his debut album BETTER THAN NOTHING, which reached the Top 5 on the iTunes Pop chart, Redwood has steadily grown a devoted audience. Singles like “Fireworks” and “EDGE OF PARADISE” have already shown his knack for honest, powerful songwriting, while his viral duet “I Had Some Help” introduced his sound to new corners of the internet.

Now, with “FIRST CALL,” Redwood is tapping into something even deeper. It’s the sound of an artist pushing himself, ready to be heard at full volume.

“FIRST CALL” is out now on all platforms. Upcoming live dates include Tramlines Festival (June 29), Bournefree (July 12), and Southampton Pride (July 26).
