Highroad No. 28
Ache
Highroad No. 28 have released a new track called 'Ache,' out now through The Orchard. It’s the first song to be shared from their upcoming album The Will to Endure, which the band have been working on throughout this year.
Recorded at Sing Sing Recording Studios in Melbourne and mixed by James Taplin, the track shows a clearer, more deliberate version of the band’s sound. It is very balanced with nothing in the mix trying to overpower anything else and with the vocals keeping a confident, direct tone that matches the overall mood, 'Ache' is a well rounded track.

'Ache' marks a shift for Highroad No. 28, and that shift seems to be working for them. The steady musical arrangement sticks to a simple structure without relying on big flashy moments or sudden switch ups. The record definitely feels like a band choosing clarity over volume and letting the song speak for itself.
This release opens the door to Highroad No. 28's next album cycle, and although they haven’t shared full details yet, “Ache” gives a sense of the direction they seem to be taking in a focused, measured, and confident way.
The single is available now on all major streaming platforms, with a music video expected later this month so be sure to check it out.
