ROSHAMBO
NIGHT CITY
Brooklyn’s own three-piece sonic wrecking crew, Roshambo, just dropped a new single that feels like it’s crawling straight out of a soaked back alley under flickering neon. Night City is the latest cut from a band that’s not just channelling the ghosts of garage rock and early punk, they're dragging them back into the spotlight, kicking and screaming.
Roshambo doesn’t fake it. They don’t polish the edges. Stef on bass, Jalen Gran on drums and the boards, bring a chemistry that’s born in dim rooms, practiced in sweat, and cemented in noise. Their sound pulls from the raw lineage of riff-rock and early punk, but it’s entirely their own, grimy, gutsy, and grounded

Night City reflects the lights of the night from a puddle in the dark. It’s a song about the ways the night can swallow you, lift you, and drain you all in one breath. There’s a comfort in the chaos, a chosen family you can’t shake, and a haunting truth in the refrain: “You can never leave.”
Tracked live in the room, no click, tape rolling—this is music made the way it used to be. That urgency, that presence, is real. Behind the board is Travis Harrison (Guided By Voices, The Men), who captures the raw energy with unflinching honesty, preserving every grain of distortion and pulse of breath the band gave.
The track is part of Roshambo’s upcoming four-song EP, due out May 30. If Night City is any indication, the whole record promises to hit with the same unfiltered intensity.
“Night City” is now streaming everywhere. Turn it up. Let it take you.
