JANITA
Mad Equation
Janita’s back with a new album called Mad Equation, and it’s something that grabs you without trying too hard. She’s from Finland but lives in New York now, and this is her tenth album. You don’t get flashy gimmicks here, just honest music that pulls you in because it feels real.
She’s not interested in sticking to one style or playing it safe. Janita has a very diverse and powerful voice one minute it can be soft and gentle or strong and fiery the next, telling stories about love, standing up for yourself, and figuring things out.

The album’s name comes from a physics concept about things being unpredictable, and that’s exactly what the songs feel like. Some songs hit rough and unpolished, others are as smooth as you like. Janita isn’t trying to spell everything out, she’s inviting you to think for yourself. That's one of the things that makes Mad Equation so endearing, the contrast from song to song and the earnest, heartfelt lyrics that most people will be able to identify with on some level.
You might feel echoes of artists like PJ Harvey here and there, but this is Janita’s own voice, shaped by years of finding her way and finely honing her craft.
This album feels real. It’s her story, shared without filters, with plenty of heart and grit.
