Czech guitarist and composer Kamila Csenge has released a brand new single, Against the Wall, from her debut album Behind the Universe, which is due for release on the 22nd of May. The single introduces the world to Kamila's approach to modern instrumental jazz with a structured and balanced composition but still captures a real sense of movement.
Right from the start, Against the Wall grabs your attention with the bass guitar sitting centre stage as the ensemble joins in one by one, gradually building the sound as the electric guitar finally takes the limelight with a glorious guitar solo early on in the track. Fantastic stuff.

The track reflects not just musical talent as a guitarist but also the skilful compositions that Kamila is capable of. Each of the individual instrumental elements are allowed to express themselves throughout the track, with the electric guitar front and centre as the other musicians move around in their own lane while complementing the main focus.
Against the Wall is a testament to the hard work that Kamila has put in over the years, from winning the John LaPorta award for outstanding achievement in her field to the many performances from New York to Berlin, Kamila has more than proven herself, and if this single is anything to go by, the forthcoming album looks set to be a real musical gem.
