Kill The Silence
Hide & Seek
Kill The Silence have released “Hide & Seek,” their first new single following a year of writing and tightening up their next phase. The track landed on 28 November 2025 and marks the band’s return to release mode after a run of singles that kept them active through 2020 to 2023.
The Leeds post hardcore group began in 2012 at Leeds College of Music, founded by vocalist Jason Walsh and lead guitarist Sam Rickerby. Their line up settled into place in 2018 with Ian Souch on bass and John Wallis on drums, before later adding rhythm guitarist Daniel Ridding. Early momentum came through the Bloodlines EP, with “All We Are” picking up airplay on Kerrang! Radio and BBC Introducing, and live support slots alongside bands including We Came As Romans, Mallory Knox, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

“Hide & Seek” fits into a thread that runs through a lot of their writing, where songs take cues from films and TV rather than straight autobiography. Walsh has said the idea started when he began writing around the stories he liked, with this one linked to the film Ready or Not and its central setup. That nerd culture angle is part of the band’s wider identity too, with the name itself coming from Doctor Who (the Matt Smith era), and past material referencing series and franchises they follow.
