A new outdoor music series will launch at Melbourne Hall, Derbyshire next summer, with a three-day programme confirmed for 24–26 July 2026. The event marks a significant expansion of Melbourne Hall’s live offering, positioning the stately home as a major music destination for the East Midlands.
The weekend opens on Friday 24 July with a night celebrating 90s and pop culture. Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems leads the bill, bringing the broadcaster’s long-standing links to the decade’s biggest artists and tracks.

She is joined by Scott Mills, whose Goes Pop format draws on more than 25 years of chart and radio experience, and Toby Spin, known for high-energy sets across UK festivals and club stages.

Together, the three acts provide a familiar and accessible opening night designed for broad audiences.
Saturday 25 July shifts to indie and alternative music, headed by the amazing Lightning Seeds. Led by Ian Broudie, the band perform material spanning more than 30 years, including Pure, Lucky You and the anthem Three Lions.

They are joined by Maxïmo Park, the Mercury Prize-nominated Newcastle trio whose eight albums include early breakthrough singles and their 2024 release Stream of Life
Midlands band Riding The Low, fronted by actor and musician Paddy Considine, add a strong regional presence, while Propaganda DJs close the evening with one of their established indie club-night sets.
The series concludes on Sunday 26 July with a day dedicated to British country and acoustic music. The Shires, the first UK country act to sign with a major Nashville label and a regular chart presence, headline the final day.
They are joined by Ward Thomas, recognised nationally for their close-harmony country-pop sound, along with Catherine McGrath, whose Top 15 debut established her as a leading young UK country artist.
Minna, a rising folk-influenced performer whose contemporary approach reflects the growing appetite for new British roots music. The Sunday programme strengthens Melbourne Hall’s connection to a genre that continues to grow in popularity across the UK.

Each day has a clear musical focus and brings well-established UK acts to a venue with real character. Our aim is to build a weekend that appeals across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and beyond, and becomes a regular date in the region’s summer calendar.”
Day tickets, weekend passes and VIP packages will be available, with street food vendors and craft beer bars on site and limited free parking offered throughout the event. Additional event details, access information and further updates will be released in the lead-up to July 2026.
