Lordi have been rocking since the early 90s thanks to singer Mr Lordi, who formed the band and kept his vision alive for well over a decade before rising to international fame thanks to their Eurovision Song Contest performance of 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' back in 2006. It has been all go since then, with LORDI's distinctive sound and instantly recognisable costumes cementing them in the hearts of music fans across the globe.
The Finnish heavy metal superstars recently visited Newcastle on the UK leg of their 2025 tour, which has seen the band rock music fans from Finland to France and everywhere in between. Bringing with them alternative metal group Sick N' Beautiful to open proceedings, LORDI strutted their stuff on more stages than you can shake a stick at, and we were lucky enough to have our intrepid photographer Gordon Armstrong poised and ready to capture the night in all its heavy metal glory.
