Lunar Reverb
Capture Lightning in a Bottle with New Live Album

Some bands need a studio to come alive. Lunar Reverb aren’t one of them. The Arlington, Texas-based trio have just released Lunar Reverb (Live at Dr Jeckyll’s), a self-made, sweat-soaked snapshot of the band in full swing. From the stage to the final mix, they did it all themselves. And it shows in the best way. It’s rough around the edges, loud where it needs to be, and soaked in the kind of honesty that only happens when no one’s trying to clean things up too much.

At the core of Lunar Reverb is a raw, no-frills approach to rock music. Joshua Hanson leads the charge on vocals and guitar, joined by bassist Simeon Williams and drummer Kyle Parker. Together, they create a sound that reaches back to classic rock while pushing forward with their own spin, something that hints at Zeppelin and The Dead, but also lands somewhere between grunge, blues, and even flashes of hip hop.

One of the standouts here is “Paralyzed,” a track co-written by Hanson and Williams. It dives headfirst into the weight of modern anxiety, that feeling of being stuck while everything around you speeds up. There’s something uncomfortably real in the way the lyrics unfold, made even more powerful by the intensity of the live setting. The tension builds slowly, then breaks loose like a deep breath you didn’t realize you were holding.

Other highlights, like “Purple Pistol” and “Close to Your Chest,” showcase the band’s tight chemistry and knack for letting a song breathe. They’re not in a rush, and that patience pays off. You can tell they trust the music — and each other.
What really makes this release stand out is that it doesn’t feel overthought. It feels like three guys on stage, doing what they do best. No tricks, no filters. Just amps, sweat, and something worth saying.

Lunar Reverb (Live at Dr Jeckyll’s) is available now. Whether you’re a longtime fan of old-school rock or just want something that hits with honesty and grit, this one’s worth turning up loud.
