MARA LIDDLE
Sweet Talk
Mara Liddle knows what it feels like to watch life move on without you. While friends got the dream jobs, the weddings, and the picture-perfect milestones, she was still in the same town, under the same roof, doing the same job she’d been stuck in for years. Sweet Talk is what came out of that frustration. It’s not overly polished, it’s honest.
The track leans into garage, drum and bass, and a splash of hyperpop, but it doesn’t try to be one thing. Like Mara herself, it moves through different feelings, restlessness, anger, hope, with a kind of raw energy that doesn’t let up. It’s the sound of someone deciding they’re done waiting around.

What makes Sweet Talk hit harder is how personal it is. A lot of the lyrics were pulled from real conversations, things people said that stuck in her head. It gives the song this mix of vulnerability and edge, like it’s been lived through instead of just written.
With a headline set coming up at Lymelight Festival, Mara isn’t just putting out a track, she’s making it clear she’s ready for more. This isn’t a starting point. It’s a turning point. The future is looking very bright and very busy for Mara Liddle.
