Cold Season

Hailing from Coventry, England, MarcusCV's new R&B project has recently landed and it is something you need to check out. 'Cold Season' is a five track EP is heavily influenced by the likes of Boyz II Men, with warm, vocal harmonies adding depth and warmth leaning into the sounds of the 90s. While the project is powered using AI voices, MarcusCV describes his goal with the project, "I set out to create a concept EP that flows like a story, with consistent vocals across all tracks, something rare in AI music."

Curating the EP on his laptop, MarcusCV is proud that he was able to demonstrate that creativity and technology can create great things from anywhere. As the project is AI-driven, there are no traditional performances planned for this release, however, MarcusCV is sharing the EP across digital platforms with the aim of catching as many ears as possible and spreading the word about his project. 

MarcusCV used AI as a tool to keep consistent vocals throughout the EP but the arrangements, creative direction, lyrics and initial idea are very much of his own creation. A peak in to what the future might hold for some areas of music and how creators are using new technology to help them achieve their goals. 'Cold Season' may be very contemporary in it's creation, but with influences including Jagged Edge and Donell Jones, it has it's roots firmly planted in an era of musical nostalgia.
