LOS ANGELES – (MARCH 27, 2026) – GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist and producer Marshmello and indie-rock outfit Portugal. The Man team up on “Phoenix.” Their new single arrives Friday, March 27 via Joytime Collective / broke records.
"Growing up in Alaska as the son of dog mushers, music never felt like a reachable world, so there’s still a part of me that can’t believe I get to work with people I’ve looked up to—especially someone like Marshmello,” said John Gourley (Portugal. The Man). “Working on “Phoenix” with him was incredibly fun and easy, no ego, no overthinking—just chasing the feeling until it stuck. The song’s about that cycle—breaking down and coming back stronger—and I’m grateful for the trust and energy he brought into it.”
Blending Marshmello’s melodic production with Portugal. The Man’s lyrical warmth, “Phoenix” captures the spark of new love, and the feeling of renewal. Built on shimmering instrumentation and an undeniable groove, the track delivers an instant lift, anchored by the line: “There’s something in the air, I can feel it / Lovers coming back to life.”
