MATREYA
Be Love
Birmingham-born singer-songwriter Matreya is back with his uplifting new single ‘Be Love’, released on Friday 17th October 2025. The new track marks a bold evolution from his earlier career and his former identity as Mason Noise on The X Factor UK, the track blends Afrobeats, R&B, and global influences into a hypnotic and even celebratory sound.
'Be Love' is driven by a steady Afrobeat pulse with live horns and smooth, soaring vocals help Matreya to put across a euphoric energy that feels almost otherworldly. The song was produced in collaboration with Reece Hayden and renowned musical director Iwan VanHetten (credits include Sister Sledge and The Pointer Sisters), the track layers live keys, guitars, horns and saxophone on top of rhythmic textures that created a stunning soundscape.
Matreya describes the single as “a carnival on a spaceship,” adding: “The story of love has been told countless times, but here it ripples beyond romance into the very principle that brings life into being. I wanted this track to feel like a shamanic celebration, an otherworldly reminder that the answer to our deepest questions has always been simple: Be Love.”
