MUSIC ICON & ENTREPRENEUR DAVE MUSTAINE ANNOUNCES
LAUNCH OF RATTLEHEAD BEER FROM MEGADETH BEER CO.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Brew for the Bold, Debuts in the UK This Summer
This summer, Megadeth Beer Co., founded by legendary thrash metal icon and entrepreneur Dave Mustaine, makes its UK debut with Rattlehead, a bold new range of beers crafted with character and attitude for those who live loud. Mustaine, who has seen success with his House of Mustaine Wines portfolio and a previous limited-run beer offering, is bringing a new level of craftsmanship and purpose to the beer scene with Rattlehead.
Named after Megadeth’s legendary song, Rattlehead, and inspired by the band’s iconic mascot Vic Rattlehead, the range captures over four decades of Megadeth's intensity and creativity. The launch of Megadeth Beer follows the announcement of the band’s final studio album and upcoming global farewell tour. Fans and beer lovers alike are invited to raise a glass of Rattlehead Beer, the perfect companion for celebrating Dave Mustaine and Megadeth's momentous contributions to music
and their relentless passion.
Available in a 440ml can, Rattlehead Pilsner, IPA and low alcohol IPA have launched online across the UK on megadethbeer.com, Amazon and will shortly be available in selected export markets.
A Partnership of Rebellion
As a lifelong beer enthusiast, Dave Mustaine sought a brewery that truly shared his values. This led him to Black Sheep Brewery in Masham, Yorkshire - a brewery known for its rebellious spirit and commitment to quality.
“I’ve always had a deep admiration for those who forge their own paths. Black Sheep embodies that spirit of individuality, just like Megadeth,” says Mustaine. “They are the perfect partners to support me in continuing my journey of creating a unique range of beers, each proudly bearing the Megadeth name.’’
The Rattlehead range was crafted alongside Dan Scott Paul, Head Brewer at Black Sheep Brewery. ‘’Each beer represents the same rebellion and spirit that have defined Megadeth for over four decades,’’ says Mustaine.
The Line-Up: Loud and Unapologetic
Pilsner (4.0%) - A bright, golden lager brewed with British hops. Clean
and refreshing with subtle malt sweetness.
IPA (4.5%) - A naturally hazy IPA with tropical fruit and citrus aromas.
A Gold Award-winning flavour profile.
IPA Zero (0.5%) - A full-flavoured non-alcoholic IPA, crisp, refreshing,
and unapologetically drinkable.
‘’It's all about sharing joy with fans, music lovers, and beer enthusiasts alike, making every flavour a note of celebration,” Mustaine continues. “This is just the beginning. We’re building something real for the people who’ve always had our backs, and for anyone who lives loud. This is a beer that is brewed with purpose.” “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Dave Mustaine and Megadeth Beer Co. on the Rattlehead launch,” says Steve Cox, CEO of Keystone Brewing Group. “This partnership is rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to our skills and creativity. From our very first meeting, we
established a clear focus and dedication to our mission: creating great-tasting beers with authentic character. From hop selection to label design, every detail has been carefully considered and meticulously crafted by Dave and the
team at Black Sheep’’.
Plans for retail and selected market expansion are already in progress. Additionally, Mustaine and Megadeth will be on the ground in the UK this October to support the launch with a VIP launch event in London and media interviews.

About Megadeth Beer Co.
Founded by Dave Mustaine, Megadeth Beer Co. is an independent beer brand built on rebellion, creativity and craft. Every beer reflects the band’s legacy of doing things their way and loud.
About Megadeth
MEGADETH are always and forever the point of no return for metal. It would be nearly impossible to conceive where heavy music and culture would’ve gone without the band founded, fronted, and fueled by vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Dave Mustaine. The blast radius of their impact has only magnified since 1983. Thus far, they have sold 50 million records worldwide, received a GRAMMY® Award (with 12 additional nominations), generated billions of streams, notched seven Top 10 entries on the Billboard 200, and enthralled millions of diehard fans in arenas and stadiums across the globe. Their catalogue spans indisputable classics such as the platinum Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? (cited at #8 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”), the platinum Rust In Peace, and double-platinum Countdown To Extinction, which captured #2 on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, Dystopia notched a Top 3 debut and earned a GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Metal Performance” with its title track. They only upped the ferocity with The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! in 2022. It saw them return to #3, receive a “Best Metal Performance” GRAMMY® Award nomination for “We’ll Be Back,” and incite rave reviews. Their influence can be felt practically everywhere - whether it be Post Malone proudly sporting a tattoo of “So Far, So Good… So What!,” Homer Simpson’s iPod displaying their moniker during an episode, or Showtime’s smash hit series Billions and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey utilising MEGADETH in plot points. The band have delivered simultaneously relevant and timeless records in five decades now, setting the pace for the thrash renaissance of the eighties, tearing through the MTV years of the nineties with swagger and style, maintaining their stride in the post-Y2K 2000s, elevating to canonical heights in the social media and streaming era of the 2010s, and unassumingly harnessing the uncertainty and unease of the Post-Pandemic world into their boldest, biggest, and best work yet.
Along the way, MEGADETH extended their influence even further. During 2016, the band entered the spirits world with their very first signature beer À Tout Le Monde followed by Saison 13 in 2019. The brand asserted itself as a player in the beverage space and impressively moved over 15 million pints. Joining forces with Keystone in 2025, they ignite the next phase of Megadeth Beer on the biggest global platform yet.
