London based artist Melanie Georgiou released her new single Paralyzed on December 19th, 2025. The track marks another step in her move from a classical music background into electronic and dance focused production.

Paralyzed was written, recorded and produced by Georgiou herself in her home studio in London. Melanie worked on Paralyzed completely independently, handling the entire process from songwriting right the way through to the final production. Her recent work has that hands on approach at its core, Melanie's focus remains on the groove and the movement of the music. This track reflects her real passion for the music she creates and an interest in melody and rhythm and combines smooth vocal lines with a steady electronic foundation.

​Melanie draws on her long standing connection to dance music and club culture to create a sound that has an air of familiarity but still stands out on its own merits. Paralyzed positions itself very much in between older electronic influences and more contemporary EDM sounds. Her background as a musician with a deep understanding of structure as well as how music feels, has helped to shape the way this track was composed and it really adds an extra edge to the overall sound.

Georgiou has already attracted attention from a number of dance labels, and Paralyzed is her latest release to be signed, this time with Moustache Crew Records. She is set to travel to Brazil in the coming months to promote the single and meet with DJs and labels as part of future projects.
