Misteriseparli
Mondo Exotico
Misteriseparli are gearing up for the release of their new album Mondo Exotico, arriving later this year through Vina Records. The electronic duo Having always worked in unusual areas of sound, the electronic duo have leaned even further into that passion for exploration and experimentation with this six-track record.
'Speedbeforedeath', the pair's debut, was a great introduction to their off centre ideas and the electronic influences, a mix that produced a their signature sound. 'Mondo Exotico' takes that base and runs with it, going all in with new textures, rhythms and influences without losing the duo’s sense of direction. The result is a set of tracks that work together to create a soundscape that draws you in to another world temporarily.
Big Tail opens the album on a steady groove with a warm, jazz-leaning feel. Off To Nowhere, the first single, shifts the mood with a darker, more restless pulse. The track has a constant forward push, helped along by guitars and synths that dart in and out of the mix. Kaboobie switches things up again, keeping things light with airy melodies and a drifting pace.

Flash Gordo brings in much brighter colours, mixing funk-styled bass, Latin flourishes and sharp synth lines. Brujeria is the only track with vocals, and its disco-leaning beat gives it an immediate lift. Closing track on the album 'Noloso', is a slower and more reflective piece that the duo built around deep percussion and atmospheric layers.
Before the full release, three singles will land across streaming platforms, with free downloads via Bandcamp. There’s also a limited vinyl pressing of 300 copies, complete with artwork by fr3danselmo, for listeners who want something physical.
Mondo Exotico shows Misteriseparli moving confidently into their next phase, and that is something I am looking forward to exploring.
