MOSS are an electronic duo from the north of England who have been working their way through the local scene since 2023. MOSS are known for their instantly recognisable vocal style and their trip hop beats that has defined the duo's sound so far.

Over the last year they have been steadily making a name for themselves among artists and promoters throughout the vibrant music scene in the region, thanks to word of mouth and their run of live shows which have gained them a loyal, growing fanbase.

Their debut EP 'MOSS EP' which was recorded locally at The Forum in Darlington, was produced with engineer Chris Davison and built around the solid creative partnership of Bee Davison on Vocals and Moss on electronics and guitar. The cello was thanks to the duo's long time collaborator Buffy Hughes. The process of putting the record together was kept simple with a mix of long sessions, a lot of time trying different bits of hardware, making sure everything was exactly as they wanted it sound.

The tracks sit comfortably within what the band have been doing live with clear vocals, repeating hooks, and electronic parts all work perfectly together. The group say the EP grew from late nights with Korg gear, old film soundtracks and the trip hop records they’ve always returned to. It is a straight reflection of where they are right now.

Released on the 7th November, the EP gives a clearer picture of MOSS than anything they’ve shared before. If their recent shows are anything to go by, this release will bring more listeners their way.
