Nathaniel Paul
It's All Blue

Picture
Indie artist Nathaniel Paul returns with something stripped back and quietly powerful. His new single, “It’s All Blue,” arrives as a raw, one-take performance recorded live at the Leighton Concert Hall at the University of Notre Dame. It’s just him, a guitar, and the kind of room that was built to carry sound the way a canyon carries wind.

There’s no overdubbing. No production tricks. Just 18 microphones placed throughout the space to catch every detail of the moment.

The result is an intimate reflection on presence and holding steady through the noise. It’s not about perfection. It’s about honesty, and Paul leans into that, letting each note stretch out and speak for itself.

“It’s All Blue” was recorded in between sessions for The Bergamot’s upcoming album, which will feature the Notre Dame Children’s Choir. But this single stands apart, offering a pause in the middle of the storm. A quiet breath.

Fresh off a SPIN Magazine spotlight, Paul continues to defy the usual path. He doesn’t chase trends, he follows instinct. And with this track, the message is simple: strip it all back, listen closely, and stay with the feeling.

“It’s All Blue” is out now on all major platforms.
