South London’s Absolutely uncovers an ethereal and engaging new single “Stranger Phase” - released on Epic Records / Black Butter Records.
Throughout the track, electronic transmissions buzz beneath her intriguing verses, while the off-kilter rhythm accents Absolutely’s unpredictable cadences as she captivates with a bold chorus. Practically piercing the clouds with her resounding vocals, it culminates on the climactic hook, “Let’s get fucked up like we don’t know any better.”

“Stranger Phase” comes as the latest in a string of releases from the burgeoning talent, such as the hazy jazz beats of “Fever Dream” and the boundary blurring, cinematic overtones of “Patterns”, which has already cracked 100K streams and counting.

Absolutely’s debut single “Higher” marked the emergence of the cutting-edge artist in a stellar music video which sees Absolutely elevated through breath-taking environments and eventually blasted off into space – pulling us into her world where her creative bounds know no limits. Listen HERE and watch HERE.

In addition to releasing more music, Absolutely will serve as direct support on Raye’s My 21stCentury Blues Tour. This marks her first major tour and promises to be an unforgettable experience. The 26-date jaunt begins on Friday September 29 in Washington, D.C. and rolls through major cities such as New York, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Nashville, and more. It concludes in Los Angeles on November 7. Tickets are available now at rayeofficial.com.

Absolutely first materialized seemingly out of the ether in South London. Born Abby Keen to a Ghanaian-Swiss mother and British father, the singer and songwriter initially attracted the attention of S10 Publishing in partnership with BMG at the top of 2020. She dove headfirst into songwriting, emerging as a sought-after collaborator with a sharp pen. She notably co-wrote “Fair” for Normani, “Get Together” for David Guetta, and “Faking Love” [feat. Saweetie], “Gimme Your Number” [with Ty Dolla $ign], “Gata” [feat. Chencho Corleone], and “Maria Elegante” [feat. Afro B] for Anitta’s multiplatinum chart-topping global blockbuster Versions of Me.

Architecting her ‘alien pop’ universe at the nexus of pop, R&B, alternative, soul, and electronic, Absolutely asserts herself as a sonic outlier on a series of 2023 singles and a whole lot more to come.
