Giuseppe Cucé - 21grammi

Picture
Giuseppe Cucé released his album 21grammi on June 20th, 2025. The record was written and recorded in Catania and brings together songs developed across several years rather than during one concentrated period. It is thanks to that fact that helped to shape the way the album came together, not following one, single narrative. Instead the album reflects various phases of writing and recording that have all eventually found themselves finally together on one place.

Swindled  - Christmas Night

Picture
Sunderland band Swindled have helped raise awareness of the NSPCC this festive season through a combination of live music, a newly released Christmas single and the lighting up of iconic city landmarks in the charity’s signature green.

The band recently hosted a sold-out Christmas acoustic show at the historic and intimate Roker Watch House, raising just over £500 for the NSPCC through ticket donations, CD sales and online giving. The seaside venue provided a fitting backdrop for the stripped-back performance, which saw the band play songs from across their catalogue alongside new material and festive sing-alongs.

Interview with Gadi Sassoon

12/18/2025

Electronic music rarely finds itself inside rooms like the United Nations. When it does, it is usually discussed rather than performed. Gadi Sassoon’s Live at the UN takes that narrative and shifts that balance by placing sound, gesture and human presence directly into a space more often associated with policy, diplomacy and abstract debate.

Toronto’s melodic punk lifers Wasting Time are back with their new single “Ripped Blue Jeans”, out December 12 via People of Punk Rock Records. It’s a nostalgic rush of anthemic hooks and heart-on-sleeve energy that could’ve soundtracked any MTV’s 120 Minutes marathon. The track captures that feeling of late 90s freedom, cracked sidewalks, stickered guitars, the smell of sweat and stale beer in community-hall venues, and long summer nights when the world still felt small enough to dream your way out of it.

Montreal’s The Fake Friends launch the lead-up to their debut LP Let’s Not Overthink This with “A Sucker Born Every Minute,” out December 11 on Stomp Records. It is a sharp, melodic jolt that threads dance-punk tension through a thick post-punk backbone, landing somewhere between Parquet Courts, Culture Abuse, and the rawer edges of early 2000s alt-rock. The track feels built for both the floor and the headphones, rhythmic and hook-forward, grounded in the kind of emotional candor that has become a quiet signature for the band.
