Jakub Chmelar lived in the Middle East for over a decade. It was safe, structured, full of opportunity. But not if you wanted to be seen, not fully. As a queer person, silence became part of survival. Hiding became normal. And it stayed that way, until a trip to London showed him what life could feel like without the weight of that silence.
