Nicosongs
Insane (sb90 Remix)

Picture
Melbourne artist Nicosongs has launched himself into the spotlight with his debut single, Insane (sb90 Remix). It is anything but your standard club track; it dives headfirst into tackling the emotional instability and exhaustion of trying to navigate an increasingly unstable world.

The track can trace its roots back to 2022, where it took shape during Sydney-based sessions with Nicosongs and acclaimed producer Taka Perry. The version you can hear today has transformed dramatically since it's inception all those years ago. The original has been taken by producer sb90 and reworked into the high energy track it is now.
The deep electronic pulse gives a nod to club culture while sticking to the original's vulnerability. 'Insane' doesn't try to hide away from the heavy-hitting themes of self-doubt, mental fog and feeling disconnected, things that are so prevalent in the world today.

When asked about the track Nicosongs said: " ‘Insane’ is an introspection - a means of looking inward to try and figure out why it all just feels out of place. While this track is open to interpretation, Nicosongs’ motive stands behind a disconnect, confusion, and negative viewpoint of the current state of the world. "

For a first outing, "Insane (sb90 Remix)" is an incredibly self-assured statement. Although the track defines where the Nicosongs project is right now, it leaves the door wide open for future experimentation. That is something that we can all look forward to. You can check out Insane (sb90 Remix) for yourself right now, don't forget to follow Nicosongs to be sure you don't miss out on his next release.
