Ralph Beeby & the Elephant Collective
Long Road Home

Picture
After two years away, Ralph Beeby & the Elephant Collective return with 'Long Road Home'. The new single, the first since 2023's 'The Well', marks the start of a series of releases that are planned for over the coming months.

'Long Road Home' follows a drifter who finds himself in a small town, a place that he immediately wants to leave. Throughout the song you can feel the character's apprehension and tension running quietly through it, a sense of unease that you can feel building as the track moves on. Clear, patient guitars are met with a rhythm that is carried by scattered sounds instead of drums. It feels sparse but intentional, cleverly composed for maximum impact.

Ralph Beeby started the Elephant Collective in London back in 2017, after years of playing for other artists. It began as a solo project but soon grew into a loose circle of musicians who come and go in between studio sessions and live shows, it is very organic in it's nature. Their sound is very much on the blues and rock scale but it's not easy to fit it in to one specific genre.

Long Road Home is the first new release since 'The Well' in 2023. The single is available from 19th September through shop.ralphbeeby.com, Bandcamp and most streaming platforms
