SHOUSE
Jaded
Kentucky guitarist and composer Michael Shouse has returned after fifteen years out of the limelight. His album 'Jaded', which dropped back in September, is a bold comeback packed with intricate writing and sharp guitar work that has a lifetime's worth of stories behind it.
Since his last release, Michael has had a lot to deal with. Yet despite life throwing everything at him including a house fire and a breakup, he has managed to pick himself up and after a long stretch of quiet rebuilding, get back out there and share his music with the world. Recording from his home studio in Jackson, he pieced the album together with help from a remarkable cast: Michael Angelo Batio, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Tony MacAlpine, Charlie Zeleny, and James Amhelio Pulli.

What makes Jaded stand out isn’t just the technical playing, though that’s impressive enough, the title track alone shifts through more than seventy key changes. It is what lies beneath it all, the sense of someone testing the limits again and finding meaning in their music again.
The album was mixed and mastered by Nashville's very own Billy Decker, it is an album that has so much emotion crammed in to it that it is unsurprisingly powerful. After a fifteen year wait, Shouse sounds far from 'Jaded' he sounds recharged and ready to rock.
