Cold Fingers 

Emerging indie folk artist Sotto James has returned with a brand new, stripped back single Cold Fingers. With the subject of distance being the focal point of the song, Sotto has done a great job of relaying the emotions associated with that in the very first moments of the track. With the acoustic guitar work creating an atmospheric feel that compliments his vocals perfectly. 

He wrote the song just before a long journey from Greece to Japan and that sense of transition definitely comes through in the questioning lyrics of the song. Sotto James spills his mind out metaphorically speaking with lots of questions that have been racing through his mind, a real contrast to the relaxing, chilled out instrumentation. There isn't any answers to the questions but I think that adds to the track's charm.

Sotto has been steadily building up his catalogue, with main focus centring around something we can all identify with, relationships, identity and the uncertainty that comes with both. Cold Fingers is part of a wider run of releases that Sotto James has planned leading up to the release of his full length debut project sometime this year. If Cold Fingers is anything to go by then this is a project that is well worth waiting for.
