About CHAMA:
Coming straight from the deep jungles of Brazil to the arid expanses of Arizona, extreme metal trailblazers SOULFLY delivered their tribally fueled thirteenth album CHAMA on October 24th 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. Once again, a remarkable testament to the Brazilian songwriter’s natural affinity for slamming yet rhythmic riffs that defined his signature sound to listeners around the world. A true return to the spiritual upbringing of SOULFLY that somehow bears a modern-day edge and vitality. Something that could only be attained by a true master of the craft, and Max has stunned us all again.
Today, SOULFLY offer fans the first taste from the album in the form of the first single, ''Storm The Gates'. A battle cry against control and greed, the track summons ancestral strength and unites the tribe in rebellion—heavy, primal, and unapologetically relentless. Watch the lyric video created by Costin Chioreanu, here: https://youtu.be/AbQEZW7aoCA
Max Cavalera comments, "Chama is the Brazilian word for flame. It also means a 'calling'. Respect to Alex Pereira for usjng Itsari on his UFC walkouts. Chama is inspired by the energy of this moment This record is the sound of Soulfly’s fire! I cannot wait to play these songs live for the Tribe! Chama!"
Zyon Cavalera states, “With each Soulfly record I’ve played on, I can feel my evolution happening in real time. This record was no different as I got to handle a good amount of the production for the first time. Trying to take the band to places we have never been before was a blast and I look forward to more production work in the future!”

About Nailbomb:
Nailbomb, the bastard child of Max Cavalera and Alex Newport, is a timeless collection of ballistic artillery. Created as a side project just for fun, it evolved into one of the most well-known punk hate albums, relevant throughout the decades since its birth.
The record was created in the Cavalera family’s nanny’s bedroom in 1992-1993. Alex aimed the sampler and the two began throwing around beats, riffs, and noise, with smirks and laughter attached. Some days the washer and dryer took a beating. Some days the car’s tires burned rubber out front of the Altadena home. It all lead to a deal with Roadrunner Records, and a recording at Chaton Studios. An idea Gloria Cavalera imagined was now a reality. After the album was released, demand flowed in for live shows. The band got an offer they could not refuse, the legendary Dyanmo Festival in Holland.
Alex and Max selected musicians they felt fit the atmosphere of the record. Three drummers were chosen for the various drumbeats, Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura), Peligro (Dead Kennedys) and Barry Schneider (Tribe After Tribe, R.I.P.). Dave Edwardson (Neurosis) was on bass, Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly) on sampler, and of course Max and Alex both on guitars and vocals.
In 2017, Nailbomb was resurrected. The political times were similar to the early 90’s. The frustration due to the entitlement of the wealthy and the corruption of politics and war lead to a resurfacing of the band. The new lineup featuring Max Cavalera, on guitars/vocals, Igor Amadeus capturing Alex Newport’s vocals and manning the sampler, Mike Leon on bass, Marc Rizzo on guitar and Zyon Cavalera on drums. This new lineup toured North America for 9 weeks before returning Nailbomb to the vault. Canada was especially treated in 2018 with a three-week tour starting on the west coast and coming out the eastside. It was a legendary tour because most bands have never done that.
November 9, 2024 at the Maximum Cavalera Max Cavalera Dynasty Show in Tempe, AZ at the Marquee Theatre, Nailbomb performed, once again. Performing with Soulfly, Incite, Go Ahead And Die, Healing Magic, Jade Helm and some of Phoenix’s top local acts. The band will consist of Max and Igor Amadeus on guitars and vocals, Travis Stone of Pig Destroyer and the Cavalera band on the 3rd guitar, Alex Cha also of Pig Destroyer on the sampler, Johny Chow of Stone Sour on bass and Adam Jarvis of Pig Destroyer and Misery Index will slam the drums on this once in a lifetime show.
Now in the 2020’s, frustration and anxiety growing around the world demands the bursting out of Nailbomb once again. 30 years later since its birth, in 1995, the Nailbomb hate project rises again in 2025. Who will bring the chaos to the stage?
