STEVE YOUNG & THE REAL TIME PLAYERS
Riffin' For A Livin'
Steve Young & The Real Time Players are back with a brand new album, Riffin' For A Livin', and it is a bundle of energy from top to toe. And speaking of toes, you will most likely find that you are unable to stop your own from tapping as you listen to this collection of 9 rifftastic tracks courtesy of Steve and co.
Right from the start the good vibes are flowing with Good Times, a track that is so full of positive energy that it is hard to listen to it without smiling. It is refreshing to hear an album that is so unashamedly uplifting. The album takes its name from 'One Man Jukebox', a track that tells the story of the life of Steve and his 30-year career, including all of the highs and lows that life has thrown him. It is an upbeat number with a stunning guitar solo, and of course, Steve's distinctive vocals are on point.

Alongside the four original tracks, Steve Young & The Real Time Players have recorded covers of Nobody's Fault But Mine and Black Betty, giving them, in their own words, a "swampy blues" sound. They are pretty special versions and are very different from the original. With Black Betty featuring soaring guitars that drag you off into a totally unexpected place, definitely worth checking out just for that.
The album closes with a gloriously stripped back atmospheric ballad, Hero - Home Demo, a track that is perfectly placed to bring your head back down to earth after such a rollercoaster ride of good old rock n roll. The album is out right now and available wherever you stream your music.
