Rock Royalty Takes the Stage at Scarborough Open Air Theatre

It is hard to believe it is a month to the day since legends The Cure brought their timeless post-punk sound to the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston. Performing to a passionate Scottish crowd, Robert Smith and company proved that their dark, majestic live spectacle remains as powerful now as it ever was. Here are the highlights from the night, captured live for Music News Monthly.

This gallery highlights the rich atmosphere of the stage production, the haunting intensity of the music, and the unmistakable stage presence of Robert Smith and Co.

Our photographer Gordon Armstrong was right at the barrier to catch the full scope of the evening. While we couldn't be in the crowd ourselves to pen a full play-by-play review, these stunning photos capture the true pulse of the evening far better than words could.
